BEFORE YOU START
A SMOOTHER HUNT MAKES FOR A SCARIER EXPERIENCE
Before heading into Hollowbrook, take a minute to get ready.
Remove unnecessary heavily scripted HUDs and attachments to help keep the experience running smoothly.
If a DRD Experience permission window appears, click YES. The Experience is used during the hunt and is required for some interactions.
Join the DRD group before you begin so you can receive important hunt updates.
When you’re ready, head to the official Visitor Registration area.
SOUND
Sound is optional.
Hollowbrook uses environmental audio and sound effects to enhance the atmosphere, but nothing in the hunt requires you to hear sound in order to progress or solve a puzzle.
The hunt has been designed to remain fully playable for people who are deaf, hard of hearing, or simply play Second Life without sound.
If you can use sound, we recommend it for the full Hollowbrook atmosphere.
QUICK CHECK
REMOVE — Unnecessary heavily scripted HUDs and attachments.
ACCEPT — The DRD Experience if prompted.
JOIN — The DRD group.
GO — Head to Visitor Registration and get your Hunt HUD.
MINI HUNTS
Arrow underneath HELP
Click the arrow underneath the HELP button to expand the Mini Hunts top panel.
Each Mini Hunt has its own awesome prizes, earned by completing that Mini Hunt.
If puzzles aren’t your thing, you can play the Mini Hunts and skip The Last Stream storyline.
To earn the final hunt prize, you must complete both the houses and the Mini Hunts.

Small map button
Open the Hollowbrook map to help navigate the town and locate numbered areas.
The map is there to help you find your way without revealing the hunt for you.

Your Inventory contains important items you collect while exploring Hollowbrook.
Some items are more than collectibles.
SOME ITEMS CAN BE EQUIPPED
Keep an eye on what you find. Certain items may need to be worn or used as you progress.

Trophy button
Open your Achievements panel to see milestones you have unlocked during the hunt.
Some achievements will be listed on the website to view.
Others are hidden and will only appear when you discover them.

Need a nudge? This can help point you toward the house or area that may still need your attention.
It does not tell you exactly what you are missing — you will still need to work that out yourself.

HOW MUCH WILL YOU DISCOVER?
Achievements reward exploration, discoveries and special moments throughout The Last Stream.
Some achievements are shown on the website here
Others are hidden achievements and won’t reveal themselves until you unlock them.
You don’t need every achievement to finish the main hunt.
They’re there for hunters who want to see how much of Hollowbrook they can uncover.
INVENTORY
EVERYTHING YOU FIND HAS A PLACE
Important items collected during the hunt will appear inside your HUD Inventory.
Check it regularly as you progress.
Some items are simple collectibles.
Others may be useful later.
EQUIPPABLE ITEMS
Some things are more useful in your hand than in your backpack.
If an item looks like it might have a purpose, try clicking it inside your backpack inventory. You may be able to equip or use it from there.
MAP
Open the Hollowbrook neighborhood map from your HUD.
The map shows the numbered houses and street names throughout Hollowbrook. A live position marker moves with you, allowing you to see where you are and identify the house or street you are currently exploring.
The map is for navigation only. It does not track whether a house has been completed.

Your hunt begins at the Visitor Registration area in Bellweather Home for Children.
This is where you’ll find the Hunt HUD, the DRD group join poster and a link back to this tutorial.

Ring the little bell at the registration desk for service.
🧪 RESET POTION
The bottle labelled “DO NOT DR-INK – Reset Potion” lets you reset your game and progress if you want to start again.
🖋 EXPERIENCE CHECK PEN
Click the ink pen on the desk to check whether the DRD Hollowbrook experience is enabled. If you accidentally removed or disabled it, the pen lets you enable it again so you can continue playing.

You don’t need to understand everything immediately. Here’s what the main buttons do.

FIVE STREAMERS. FIVE HOUSES.
The main story is built around five streamer houses.
The five houses along the top panel of your HUD show your hunt progress. The final orphanage also appears in this same progression area.
HOW TO READ IT
NO NUMBER
You have not found that streamer yet.
PINK NUMBER
You have found the streamer, but that section of the hunt is not fully complete.
GREEN NUMBER
That section of the hunt is complete.
Once all five houses are completed, you’ll be ready for the final part of the hunt.
MINI HUNTS
SMALLER HUNTS. AWESOME PRIZES.
Hollowbrook contains several smaller collection hunts alongside the main story.
Each Mini Hunt has its own awesome prizes. Complete the corresponding Mini Hunt to claim its rewards.
If puzzles aren’t your thing, you can focus on the Mini Hunts and skip The Last Stream storyline.
MEMORY KEEPSAKES
Look for hidden keepsakes scattered throughout a certain house.
Your HUD will keep count of how many you’ve found.
PIZZA COLLECTION
There are pizza-themed finds hidden around Hollowbrook.
Collect them all to complete this Mini Hunt.
HALLOWEENIES
Keep an eye out for the hidden Halloweenie cans.
Your HUD tracks your collection as you find them.
FLAMINGhouls
Flaminghouls are hiding around Hollowbrook too.
Find them all to complete their Mini Hunt.
HUNTCAST POSTERS
Huntcast posters have been plastered around town.
Track them down and complete the set.
REMEMBER
The final hunt prize requires completing both the houses and the Mini Hunts.
Mini Hunt prizes are separate, so you can enjoy those without completing the storyline.

HOW THE MAIN HUNT PROGRESSES
EXPLORE. OBSERVE. THINK.
The Last Stream is not a click-everything-until-something-happens hunt.
Explore Hollowbrook, read what you find and pay attention to your surroundings. Objects, messages and environmental details may all be part of the puzzle.
There is no required first house. You may explore the neighborhood in whichever direction you choose.
However, some interactions must happen in a logical sequence.
If something does not respond yet, do not immediately assume it is broken. Look around. Read the clues. Think about what you have already discovered and what might logically come next.
Things are placed for a reason. Think before you click.
FIND THE FIVE STREAMERS
Your main objective is to:
Find the five streamers and uncover what happened to each of them.
Finding a streamer and completing their house are two different stages of progress.
The five houses along the top panel of your HUD show your hunt progress. The final orphanage also appears in this same progression area.
NO NUMBER
You have not found that streamer yet.
PINK NUMBER
You have found the streamer, but that section of the hunt is not fully complete.
GREEN NUMBER
That section of the hunt is complete.
If you have solved something but the house has not turned green, you are still missing something. Keep exploring.
Important: completing a puzzle does not necessarily mean you have discovered everything in that house.
CHECK YOUR PROGRESS
Click the pumpkin icon on your HUD to check your hunt progress. Need a nudge? This can help point you toward the house or area that may still need your attention. It does not tell you exactly what you are missing — you will still need to work that out yourself.
This is separate from the neighborhood map.
